🔬 Success Story #3 – ZAS Biobank
🔥 Advancing Research in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer
We’re proud to highlight a major achievement at the ZAS Biobank (Campus Augustinus): a successful pilot for targeted, longitudinal sampling in patients with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) — a highly aggressive and heterogeneous breast cancer subtype.
This project enables the collection of high‑quality biospecimens (serum, plasma, DNA) at multiple clinically relevant timepoints during and after neoadjuvant therapy, supporting future breakthroughs in biomarker discovery and personalized treatment.
Why this matters
TNBC offers limited treatment options and often shows resistance. High‑quality samples are essential to:
💡 Identify prognostic/predictive biomarkers
🔎 Discover new therapeutic targets
🧬 Advance personalized medicine
